If, like us, you’ve been patiently waiting for the opening of Palazzo Ralph Lauren, then you’re in luck. This Saturday, during Milan Fashion Week, when the city was bustling with models, editors, designers, bloggers and the fashion elite, Ralph Lauren announced his private luxury club was officially open. Of course, it’s open only to VIP-members.
The club will offer a select group of well-heeled clients an opportunity to shop at their leisure in the almost 12,000-square-foot palatial estate. Guests can browse recent runway shows, dine on dishes inspired by Lauren’s restaurants and relax on Ralph Lauren-branded furniture while waiting for their suits to be tailored. It’s an opportunity for the designer to reach a new audience in the Italian market, one that is very different than his typical, all-American, equestrian-loving customers.
The club will also “host private events several times a year to highlight new collections, craftsmanship demonstrations and ongoing private appointments.” This season brand’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection was held in the new Palazzo, and it’s likely that before long we’ll see a few socialite weddings held here as well. As the club is open exclusively to members through private invite, we suggest you start schmoozing up to your favorite Ralph Lauren sales associates and buying a lot of merchandise to get your name on the short list.
