This is without a doubt the most amazing hotel suite in all of Milan. We’d like to move in, fill the closet with all our Via Montenapoleone buys and hire a butler. Oh wait, it already comes with one. The Presidential Suite at the Principe di Savoia was named one of Milan’s most luxurious hotel suites by Forbes, and with good reason. It’s a 5,400-square-foot palace filled with opulent, Imperial-style furnishings, blended French and Italian design, and interior palette of velvety reds, mahogany wood panels and gilded antiques. Celebrities, presidents and royalty have all stayed in this one-of-a-kind abode. And at €17,000 (approx. USD $19,024) a night, it’s worth every dollar.
The three-bedroom, five-bathroom suite sits on the tenth floor of the Principe di Savoia overlooking the Piazza della Repubblica. It features a living room, formal dining room, bar and kitchen and a private chef. The room also includes a fireplace, wrap-around terrace and a Pompeii-style spa with private swimming pool, sauna and tiled Turkish bath. For those who miss the little comforts of home, Acqua di Parma toiletries are provided, flowers by Armani are placed around the room, Krug Champagne is served nightly, and guests even have their choice of pillows and designer linens.
While it might seem that the unobstructed views of the Piazza della Repubblica or even the Roman-styled soaking tub are the highlights of the suite, some of the most extraordinary features of the property are the décor’s accessories. Throughout the Presidential Suite each of the rooms are filled with museum-worthy antiquities and one-of-a-kind art. Armani flowers may fill a century-old vase on the desk or a still life painting from a Dutch master may hang above the bed.
