The 2012 Milano Fashion Global Summit is bringing together two of the luxury fashion industry leaders most influential countries at a gathering that focuses on the importance of fashion and commerce. China and Italy will meet at this year’s gathering in Milan, where key personalities and business professionals will discuss production, distribution, and challenges facing the fashion industry. The event will take place September 7-8, 2012 at the Palazzo Mezzanotte, which was designed to headquarter the Borsa Italia. Fashion and finance go hand-in-hand, making it an ideal venue for the Milano Fashion Global Summit.
Last year’s Milano Fashion Summit also involved China, the 2011’s theme being “Options of Luxury—The Voice of China.” With its excellence in production and state-of-the-art industrial machinery, China has quickly moved into the top ranks of the fashion world. Examples of some of 2011’s presentations include “Luxury Jewelry and Watches,” presented by CEO, Chopard Italia, Davide Traxler, “The Voice of China from Florence and Prato,” presented by journalist Piero Ceccatelli, and the “Overview of Clobal and China Luxury Markets,” by Managing Director and Co-Head of China Coverage Catherine Cai.
In addition to fashion week, which sweeps the globe every fall, the 2012 Milano Fashion Summit looks forward to bringing a group of top managers to exchange ideas and share opinions regarding the economic climate and how it will affect the global fashion industry.
