The Four Seasons Milan, a luxury hotel located inside Italy’s second largest city was once a 15th century convent. Today, this beautiful urban retreat, situated around a lovely garden setting, attracts visitors from all over the world with its central location near the city’s financial and fashion districts. The Four Seasons Milan is anxiously awaiting the opening of its new 800 square meter spa, featuring seven treatment rooms, four massage rooms, a manicure/pedicure massage room, a wet-treatment room as well as a couple’s suite.
The SPA was designed under the instruction of Patricia Urquiola with the aim of sculpting a serene haven for guests to relax among a busy, urban environment. During the design process, Urquiola incorporated materials such as wood and warming stones that are native to the region. The layout of the SPA was built to include space not only for traditional treatment rooms, but for a Turkish bath and Scottish shower as well. The new sanctuary also features exclusive luxury products by La Prairie and Sodashi that will be incorporated into the SPA’s specialty treatments. One such treatment includes the Caviar Firming experience, from La Prairie, which uses caviar pearls to smooth and tone the skin.
Treatments using the Sodashi line of beauty products will include Samadara, which fights the aging process using Ayurvedic philosophy to rehydrate, revitalize, and regenerate the skin and body. The SPA will also allow guest access to the Rossan Feretti hair salon, which proudly features the “Methodo” cut. Guests can use the spa’s fitness area while also taking advantage of yoga lessons, personal training, and state-of-the art equipment from Technogym. In addition, the space’s 46 by 11 foot lap pool looks up towards the Four Season’s Milan’s original brick ceiling. The SPA will initially be open exclusively to hotel guests; however, later in the fall it will open to non-guest clients.
