It’s always nice to return to a familiar restaurant that has recently unveiled not only a new look but also a chef-driven, internationally influenced menu.
That’s just what the refreshed Galley at Hilton West Palm Beach has done.
At the kitchen’s helm is Executive Chef Rodrigo Mezadri, who heads up four of the downtown property’s dining concepts. The award-winning Galley restaurant located across the street from CityPlace’s popular entertainment destination boasts a cozy indoor dining room offering a peek at the open kitchen along with a spacious outdoor patio with covered trellis and sleek gas fire pit for alfresco dining.

We recommend starting off with one of their handcrafted cocktails like Three Kings made with Papa Pilar’s dark rum, Jamaican hibiscus tea, cinnamon demerara, and lime; or a classic gin martini with olives.
Small plates like the flavorful chargrilled octopus with cannellini bean purée and Marcona almond cancha are custom made for sharing, but so good you may not want to. The lobster crispy rice was another standout made with fresh lobster claw salad served atop crispy sushi rice with spicy aioli.
The salads here are large enough to share, and can also be topped with chicken, shrimp, or salmon. A tasty Romaine Caesar arrived with fresh parmesan cheese and crunchy Challah croutons tossed in a tangy dressing.

When it comes to main events, don’t miss the pan-seared black grouper served with vegetable farrotto and salsa criolla. For land lovers, there are plenty of options, including an oven roasted chicken, Wagyu beef short ribs with truffle potato emulsion, and a decadent executive truffle burger.
All of the steaks here are hand sourced and grilled for extra flavor then finished with roasted garlic and rosemary. The juicy, 14-ounce New York strip was well marbled and served with a rich wild mushroom truffle demi accompanied by shoestring potatoes.
For the ultimate indulgence, we recommend adding on a lobster trail with drawn butter or one of their sides large enough to share like honey roasted carrots, mac and cheese, or grilled asparagus.

Other dining options at the property include Mezze, a Mediterranean-inspired eatery available for breakfast and lunch; Provisions, an all-day European-inspired patisserie and market; La Playa, the refreshed poolside eatery offering light bites; and Palma, the hotel’s signature lobby bar featuring live music on the weekends.
To much fanfare, Moody Tongue Sushi opened at the hotel in December offering a 15-course omakase menu and specialty beer pairings from Michelin-starred Moody Tongue Brewery.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the Hilton’s monthly Bites & Beats on-site festival featuring food and drink trucks and live music. Upcoming events will be held on March 14, April 14 and May 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. where you can sip on craft cocktails with fun names like Yellow Jacket and Berry Poppins and play lawn games outside.
Hilton West Palm Beach is located at 600 Okeechobee Boulevard.
