Bass Museum of Art

In 1963, John and Johanna Bass bequeathed their art collection to the City of Miami Beach and it became the Bass Museum of Art. Surrounded by the gardens of Collins Park, the museum displays their exhibits within the original Miami Beach Public Library, which was the first public building to show works of art.

Collections on display at the Bass Museum of Art include items from the antiquities, Renaissance pieces and Baroque art. There are also curations of English portraiture and contemporary photography.
