This year, Princess Cruises is premiering its Chocolate Journeys program created by Norman Love, one of the world’s top master chocolate makers. The program ices the cake across the spectrum of on-board programs from lavish chocolate desserts to drinks, pillow treats and even decadent spa treatments.
Love spent more than a year developing an ultra-premium chocolate program with the Princess culinary team. It’s anchored by Decadent Desserts comprised of 15 chocolate treats that will rotate in the ships’ main dining rooms, in the specialty restaurants Sabatini’s and Crown Grill, and the private Chef’s Table experience.
Guests now toast the start of their cruise with Champagne and Chocolate Love Pop truffles, and can indulge in Love’s complimentary baked goods served throughout the day at the International Café. Chocolate Petits Fours are now served at the climax of each voyage’s Formal Night, and all bar menus now offer decadent new cocktails including Chocolate Chile "Mayan" Margaritas and Bulleit bourbon "Black Forest" shooters.
In Princess’ wine bar, each cruise will feature a premium chocolate and pairing event. Chocolate lovers can also indulge without extra calories; the ship’s Lotus Spa offers a new antioxidant treatment that pampers the body with a chocolate scrub, hydrating whipped-chocolate body mask, and chocolate oil massage.
“What could make people smile more than savoring decadent chocolate creations while enjoying their cruise vacation? I think we have a winning combination,” says Love.
