Downtown proper doesn't have the longest list of hot properties, but the lone oasis is the LA Live complex near Staples Center. Part of the compound is the JW Marriot Los Angeles, and on their fourth floor is the open air pool terrace, ION rooftop bar.

Private cabanas are available to the VIP, and ION's location provides for views of the Hollywood sign, and the stars themselves as they walk the red carpet into the Nokia Theatre below.
