Exciting grand openings are taking place at the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. This vibrant, one-of-a-kind Disney experience has a new complimentary entrance for guests to step into the newly reimagined lawn entertainment stage, exciting theme shops and diverse culinary venues.
Reimagination of the Downtown Disney District
Disneyland Resort continues to invest in developing new guest experiences for all ages. The Downtown Disney District has a new mid-century modern design at the west end. This district area is a beautiful blend of vibrant color palettes, multicultural design elements and interesting patterns.
The D Lander Shop
Explore a selection of trend-forward fashions and co-branded collections by Kate Spade, Dooney & Bourke, Vera Wang and PANDORA Jewelry. It's a shop-within-a-shop featuring apparel, exclusive mouse ears, handbags and jewelry. The walls showcase unique bespoke art that are also available for purchase.
Fun Fact: The store's name is a homage to a guest in a Springtime bonnet that appeared in the April 1957 edition of the Disneylander newspaper.
SHOPPING
Avengers Reserve
Marvel Hero fans will discover the Avengers Reserve collaboration with Disney to be their favorite shop for comic books, collectibles, apparel and toys for all ages.
A bigger-than-life Hulk greets guests on the outside smashing through concrete, while Spider-Man spins a web above the entrance of the store to stay in place. Step inside the metal and concrete store to see Captain America soaring above racks of theme apparel. Everywhere one looks there are art thematic props and merchandise featuring Black Panther, Groot, Spider-Man, Captain America and others.
Fun Fact: Marvel has 8,000 characters, and is one of the original comic book producers since 1939.
Disney Wonderful World of Sweets
Two exhibition kitchens are viewable from the Downtown Disney promenade and inside the shop. Watch candy makers create new confectionery treats as they dip cake pops and caramel apples before placing them on trays to cool. They also make freshly popped and delicious Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn. Displays of churro toffees, sour balls and lollipops add a kaleidoscope of color to the store.
Besides candy, shelves are stocked with Disney theme coffee, tea, hot sauce and cookies. Refrigerators are filled with ice cream and cold beverages.
Fun Fact: Sweet new characters featured in the location include Poppi the popcorn bucket and cake pops named Jimmi, Fluffi, Bonni and Lolli.
Disney Storyland Boutique
This new retail concept tells the story of all cute, adorable and kawaii Disney characters such as Winnie the Pooh and Stitch. Create your own personalized Disney headband and find your favorite characters displayed on apparel.
Fun Fact: The stories of beloved Disney characters inside this store will regularly rotate themes, decor and products each season.
CULINARY DELIGHTS
Parkside Market food hall offers four diverse culinary concepts: Seoul Sister, Sip & Sonder, GG’s Chicken Shop and Vista Parkside Market. Conveniently located within walking distance of Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park and three on-property hotels of the Disneyland Resort.
GG’s Chicken Shop is approachable to all, serving a creative variety of fried chicken sandwiches. Innovative salads include kale and brussels sprouts with dried cranberries, grapes and sunflower seeds tossed in a slightly creamy honey lemon dressing.
Classic sides include waffle fries and a healthy broccoli slaw with almonds, raisins and a poppy seed dressing.
This is the first GG’s Chicken Shop location on the West Coast. This Boka Restaurant Group restaurant was founded by Michelin Star Chef Lee Wolen, along with James Beard Award-Winning restaurateurs Rob Katz and Kevin Boehm.
Fun Fact: GG's Chicken Shop is affectionately named after Wolen's mother Geri.
COFFEE, LATTES & TREATS
Other new venues include Sip & Sonder, a Black women-owned brand by founders Amanda-Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas. Recognized by the Los Angeles Times as one of the best cafes in L.A., they are known for their iced oat milk signature latte, icy pink Jamaican Sorrel slushie and vibrant blue Monarch slushie made with butterfly pea flower, coconut and vanilla.
Fresh treats include colorful cake pops, large cinnamon rolls and Caribbean-inspired bites.
Fun Fact: This is the only outdoor step-up-to-the-window counter venue at the new Parkside Market.
KOREAN BOWLS & COOL DRINKS
Seoul Sister is a fast-casual modern eatery serving a Korean-forward menu. Executive Chef Kelly Kim's customized bibimbap (Korean rice bowls) have a California twist. The base of the bowls are either rice, Japchae noodles or salad. Proteins added can be beef and egg, tofu, chicken or pork belly. Other menu items include a grab-and-go Korean chicken salad, fried beef or vegetable dumplings.
Fun Fact: This is where you can order a Korean Yuja Lemonade or refreshing unsweetened matcha iced tea.
VISTA MARKETPLACE
Walk upstairs to Vista Parkside Market, a second story bar with a lounge and dining area. The large bar top has mixologists muddle, infuse, swizzle, stir, pour and shake creative drinks. Sip a frozen lemonade, frozen mocktail or cocktail, or espresso martini. There is an al fresco area to sit back for a bird's eye view of Downtown Disney.

COMING SOON
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
Napa Rose will temporarily close in the spring 2025 for remodeling. It will have a new appealing interior and patio. All guest rooms, including the Disney Vacation Club Villas, will soon be refreshed with new décor, bedding and more. Plans are also underway for a second concierge lounge at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa to be completed in 2026.
Disneyland Hotel will unveil an all-new concierge High Key Club lounge this summer, 2025. The space is to be a tribute to the music and sounds of Disneyland circa 1955, and will feature a custom soundtrack and prominent artifacts in a mid-century modern aesthetic.
Pixar Place Hotel will add two premium themed suites inspired by Pixar Animation’s “Coco” and “The Incredibles.' Families can reserve these rooms to enjoy this summer, 2025.
