One of the Dorchester Collections most iconic glamorous hotels, The Beverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows, known as the "Pink Palace" providing privacy, glamour and exquisite service has reopened its doors.
The General managers and their teams are following new rules and restriction guidelines from government agencies and health authorities, to ensure guest and staff safety and health.
Employees will continue receiving regular training on new standards regarding COVID-19 health & safety protocols. Every staff member must strictly comply with these protective measures recommended by governing agencies - including hand hygiene, wearing masks and social distancing.
Hand sanitizer, in touchless dispensers, will be available in key places including the reception area, lobby, guest rooms, bungalows, restaurant entrances, pools and fitness areas.
Each guest will receive an amenity kit located in their room or suite containing masks, hand sanitizer and a COVID-19 awareness card. Additional kits will be available at the front desk if requested (subject to availability).
One of the quintessential experiences is staying in one of the Legendary Bungalows. Bungalow #1 was where Marilyn Monroe enjoyed a respite from Hollywood. Redecorated a few years ago, warmth and femininity abound throughout. Guests will find CHANEL N°5 fragrance bar and bath amenities, and a library of Marilyn Monroe books and films.
Bungalow #3 is the Howard Hughes pays homage to the reclusive billionaire's mysterious life. He called The Beverly Hills Hotel home for over 30 years.
Bungalow #9 is the Charlie Chaplin, offering a private kitchen and dining room, plus private veranda with garden views.
To add a flair of Hollywood entertainment, the staff will set guests up with a 'Lights, Camera, Popcorn' experience. Guests can select one of many on-demand movies to enjoy viewing from the comfort of their guestroom or bungalow. The hotel team will bring extra pillows and blankets, along with popcorn and movie candy for a memorable evening.
Guests may also order the Cocktails, Please! experience. The hotel's lead bartender has specially curated cocktail kits for guests to order and make in their room. The 'Hotel California' cocktail is a refreshing mix of vodka, watermelon, lime and mint, sweetened with agave. It's an ideal drink to sip on a warm summer night while watching a movie or looking up at the stars.
Guestrooms, suites and bungalows offer luxurious bespoke cotton linens embroidered with The Beverly Hills Hotel logo and topped with a soft duvet. All bed linens and laundry are changed daily and washed at a high temperature.
Cleaning products and protocols meet specific guidelines for approved effective use against viruses and bacteria. When cleaning guest rooms, the staff pays particular attention to high-touch items.
Guests can enjoy a Champagne & Bath Experience to help relax and unwind. This indulgent treat includes Ceara pure, unrefined Atlantic sea salt from Brazil, which provides natural hydration and smoothness, and sweet orange and grapefruit oils for an uplifting, invigorating experience. A bottle of chilled Dom Perignon is included in this decadent experience.
The Polo Lounge and Cabana Cafe have reopened with new health and safety protocols. Guests are required to wear facial coverings at all times other than when they are seated at their tables. Reservations are highly suggested due to limited seating capacity with a maximum party size of 6 people.
Following a statewide mandate, the spa and gym, as well as Fountain Coffee Room and Bar Nineteen12 remain closed until future notice.
The sparkling pool has reopened with social distance spacing for lounge chairs and private cabanas.
To make life a little bit easier, The Beverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows also amended their cancellation policy until the end of the year, so unrestricted cancellations can be made until as late as 4 p.m., on guests day of arrival.
