Having recently launched in Los Angeles, Minibar is an alcohol delivery service that not only promises to have a vast inventory, but also to be a great party-planning tool.
The New York start-up makes it easy to order wine, spirits and beer, promising free delivery in less than an hour. By connecting you to local vendors based on your location, you can peruse a store's inventory from the comfort of your couch. The app also gives pairing recommendations based on what you select, as well as cocktail recipes, tasting notes, and the option to gift a purchase to someone else. To help with party-planning, Minibar gives you access to bar suppliers so you can get things like cups, ice, and mixing tools. The team behind the app plans on adding the "Book a Bartender" option soon, which is already available in other markets.
