Soleto Trattoria and Pizza Bar recently opened in Downtown Los Angeles, featuring cuisine prepared by Chef Sascha Lyon. The new restaurant which showcases a menu of modern Italian fare, has an Exhibition Pizza Bar, an outdoor patio, and a indoor bar that is made for happy houring. Chef Lyons, who worked under renowned culinary master Daniel Boulud, was chosen by Boulud to be a part of a 12 chef team that would open Restaurant Daniel in New York. Lyon has cooked in London and Miami and in addition to Soleto Trattoria, oversees the kitchens at Delphine at W Hollywood.
Guests can look forward to sampling dishes such as pumpkin ravioli, made with beech mushrooms, hazelnuts and sage, spicy smoked speck pizza made with fresno , Anaheim peppers, and onion, or the grilled salmon scallopini, complemented by grilled oyster mushrooms and confit potatoes. The dining ambiance is punctuated by exposed beams, white washed brick walls, and wood floors set against industrial elements. In addition to lunch and dinner, Soleto Trattoria will also be catering to the after-five crowd, providing a well-rounded happy hour menu. Along with a wine list and cocktails, guests can indulge in small bites from the kitchen.
Cannellini bean hummus, sautéed calamari, and crispy polenta croquettes satisfy after-work hunger while the Soleto Trattoria’s cello spritzer, made with lemon, grapefruit, or kumquat-blood orange and white peach sangria, quench thirst. Elegant yet laid back, Soleto Trattoria is perfect for casual lunches and intimate dinners.
