A real treat for audiences of all ages, this riotous production about a plucky and resolute heroine with a vivid imagination has now won 101 international awards, including 24 for Best Musical.
Currently in its 13th year in London and continuing to play to packed houses in the West End, Matilda The Musical has been seen by 11 million people across more than 90 cities worldwide, and is thrilled to welcome new young performers to the Cambridge Theatre.
Anna Deikalo, Ava Posniak and Sophia Saravanan joined Estella Evans in the title role from 12 March 2024.
The current adult cast includes Rakesh Boury (Mr Wormwood), Kieran Hill (MissTrunchbull), Amy Ellen Richardson (Mrs Wormwood), and Lydia White (Miss Honey).
Written by Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin and developed and directed by Matthew Warchus, the production is designed by Rob Howell, with choreography by Peter Darling, orchestrations, additional music and musical supervision by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker and special effects and illusions by Paul Kieve.
