The luxurious Langham Hotel in London, used by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as a setting in the original Sherlock Holmes stories, is celebrating the release of the new movie about the great detective with a special package.

Doyle was also a frequent visitor to the hotel, opened as Europe’s first true "grand" hotel in 1865, in the 1880s, and there’s a garret-style duplex suite in the hotel’s turret with views of the city skyline named in his honor. In December when Guy Ritchie premieres his new film Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law, guests will be able to book the "The Sherlock Holmes Package". 

The package, priced at £595 (about $925) per night, includes overnight accommodations in the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Suite; English Breakfast for two at the hotel’s restaurant Roux at The Landau; two tickets to the Sherlock Holmes London Walking Tour exploring locations used in both the stories and films; and a copy of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes including references to The Langham from the hotel’s Book Butler.

The hotel, which features 380 luxurious guestrooms and suites and the Palm Court, famed as the place where the tradition of afternoon tea was born, recently underwent an £80 million restoration. Go to London.LanghamHotels.co.uk to learn more.
