Hotels within hotels are Vegas’ jam. By the numbers, MGM Grand and Wynn Las Vegas have the most with four properties inside their resorts. Mandalay Bay and Caesars have three and Monte Carlo, Aria, Mirage and The Venetian each boast two separate hotels within their walls. While some are more discreet—The Mansion inside the MGM or the Villas at the Mirage—others are easily known like Nobu inside Caesars Palace.
Soon, the latter group will include the W Las Vegas which will debut inside of the SLS. Set to begin welcoming guests on December 1, the property will take over a 289-room tower of the resort and will offer a private entrance for guests and W brand amenities. Guestrooms will range from 322 square feet to the 2,382-square-foot EWOW suites.
The hotel will include WET rooftop pool, 24-hour FIT, Away spa, The Living Room and a multi-million-dollar new tower by Gensler Architects and AvroKO Hospitality Group. A 15,000-square-foot space will also be available for meetings and events. Rooms begin at $169 a night and the grand opening is set for February 2017.
