One thing that definitely happens in Vegas? The Strip changes constantly. And the latest hotel to get a complete makeover is the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino which will soon be known as the MGM Park come late 2018. The new name is part of a $450 million renovation of the property that includes a complete overhaul of the guest suites and the addition of tons of new restaurants and shopping.
What are we especially excited for? Eataly. Mario Batalli's Italian grocery store, café and restaurant experience will open its first outpost in Sin City. If you haven’t been, it’s essentially the equivalent of Disneyland for foodies. Along with the new dining and shopping spots, the hotel will connect to the brand new urban oasis The Park which opened earlier this year.
MGM Park will also be home to the popular New York City lifestyle hotel NoMad, a smaller, more exclusive property inside its walls. The hotel-within-a-hotel is one of the biggest trends on The Strip right now and follows in the footsteps of The Delano inside Mandalay Bay and the luxurious Nobu hotel inside Caesar’s Palace (to name a few). The NoMad will operate independently with its own lobby, swimming pool, casino and of course, bars and restaurants. Chef Daniel Humm of the three Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park in New York City will open his NoMad restaurant inside.
