The Crawford Hotel Denver: A Delightful Mile High Stay

Denver’s Union Station isn’t just a train station, it’s an experience. Ten years ago, its transformation into a luxurious urban oasis, anchored by The Crawford Hotel, redefined travel in the Mile High City. But hold on to your hat, because they’ve done it again. With a fresh wave of renovations, including a revamped Great Hall, exciting new restaurants, and a luxurious redesign of the hotel’s 112 rooms, Denver Union Station has reached a new level of luxury in the Mile High.

The moment you check in at The Crawford, guests are enveloped in the nostalgic charm of classic train travel. From the vintage-inspired Parlour lobby to the rich jewel tones that permeate the property, every detail evokes the golden age of train travel. Custom headboards, bespoke furniture, and curated artwork create an immersive experience, transporting guests to a bygone era of luxurious journeys.

Named for the late urban preservationist Dana Crawford, The Crawford Hotel originally opened in 2014 to great fanfare after transforming the 1881 Union Station building into a multi-use and activated urban property. The stately guestrooms were recently updated with redesigns and thoughtful touches; soaring ceilings on the upper floor suites covered with elegant floral motifs, and build-your-own Manhattan’s as a welcome amenity option harken to an era of sophisticated travel. When getting ready for bed, try the new Loftie alarm clock. The first hotel to partner with Loftie for custom content, adult and children’s bedtime stories are available in The Crawford Hotel rooms, sharing Dana Crawford’s legacy and life story.

The Cooper Lounge is one of my favorite spots in Denver. Carrying on a beloved tradition, signature cocktails are still served on silver trays, and bartenders mix drinks with the Denver skyline as a stunning backdrop. Snacks from the kitchen include oysters, fromage and charcuterie board, and a bison tartare. An exceptional spot to catch up with a friend, enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, or wind down after a night out on the town, this elevated lounge overlooking The Great Hall below is a perfect perch to while away the hours.

From popular restaurants like Snooze, an AM Eatery to the hip Olive and Finch, there are a variety of culinary options at Denver Union Station. A quick coffee or a leisurely craft beer from Terminal Bar—all can be enjoyed on property. Just outside Union Station there are many walkable restaurants and attractions. If traveling to or from Denver International Airport, the A Line RTD Light Rail is a breeze to board, steps from the front door of The Crawford.

The Crawford Hotel was recently awarded the Michelin Guide One Key, and with its latest renewal, will be greeting new and return guests for years to come. For rates and reservations, visit www.thecrawfordhotel.com.
