MGM Hospitality has announced its plans for a 2017 grand opening for the brand's next luxury hotel in China, the Bellagio Shanghai. Its hip, urban location along the Bund in Shanghai, on the banks of the Suzhou River and next to the Waibaidu Bridge, will offer exceptional views of the Bund and the Lujiazui district.
The property’s elegant architecture and décor hopes to capture the essence of the old and new Shanghai with a modern interpretation of European Art Deco, fusing beauty, style and grace. The 165-room hotel will have 25 suites, a restaurant supervised by celebrity chef Julian Serrano, five multi-function meeting rooms, a large ballroom and a fitness center.
The hotel will also feature a Zen spa retreat with a relaxation lounge, indoor pool with tepidarium, vitality pool, a fitness and exercise studio, a panoramic co-ed sauna and five treatment rooms. Separate male and female wet rooms will offer both sauna and steam options. The couples’ treatment room will include a deep-soaking tub, double shower and a VIP treatment room with a private sauna and foot massage area with two treatment chairs.
