If you’re looking to set your condominiums apart, securing Karl Lagerfeld as your interior designer means those new digs won’t just be cool, they’ll be as iconic as the man himself. The fashion powerhouse will design the lobbies of The Estates at Acqualina, a luxury residential development slated to debut in 2020.
Giving the property its own distinct personality, separate from its hotel counterpart, Lagerfeld spoke to his vision for the future of the condominiums in the above video. His inspiration hails from the construction, Florida and the mood of the moment. As to how he sees the lobbies, he pictures them being fresh and silvery.
“I am excited by the opportunity to design the lobbies of The Estates at Acqualina and take great pride in knowing that the spaces I create will be such important spaces in the building,” Lagerfeld said in a statement. “Not only are they significant because they offer the first impression of the building, they are also the spaces where people come to socialize daily; they are like a common living room.”
The estates will be the designer’s first venture in the world of luxury residential developments within the United States. When completed, the Estates will feature 265 homes ranging from three to seven bedrooms and boasting 10-foot ceilings. Two separate 50-story towers will house the residences and will come furniture ready and equipped with smart-home technology. The master suite will include his and her dressing rooms; onyx countertops, marble floors and a steam mist shower in the bathroom; plus ocean views.
Among its amenities will be a full-service spa; a floor dedicated to perks like bowling lanes, a movie theater and an ice skating rink; a Wall Street Trader’s Club with access to computers, a board room and ticker tape; and a world-class restaurant. Outdoors residents will have even more to choose from such as a basketball court, dog park, soccer field, bocce court, multiple infinity pools, a resident concierge and a house Rolls-Royce.
The Estates at Acqualina’s condos are priced from $3.9 million to $40 million for penthouses.
