Experiencing exquisite cuisine is one thing; learning how to make it at home from celebrated chefs is another. Recently, InterContinental Hong Kong announced their 2015 Cooking With the Culinary Stars series. The hands-on dining experience gives guests the opportunity to learn from and cook with chefs from the property’s Michelin starred restaurants.
SPOON by Alain Ducasse, THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill, NOBU and Yan Toh Heen will all a part of the series, giving guests a chance to create international cuisines including Japanese, Cantonese, French and American. Participants will learn how to create specialty dishes such as dry miso sashimi and Canadian lobster from celebrated chefs such as Executive Chef Nicola Canuti and Sous Chef Simon Kwok. Following each showcase, guests will finish by dining on their dishes and recieving an official certificate, recipes from the chefs and a Cooking with the Culinary Stars apron.
For the "sweeter" classes, SPOON Pastry Chef Olivier Lannes and Executive Pastry Chef Cyril Dupuis will host a Baking Club. The duo will teach the art of cake- and dessert-making by working with guests to create treats such as sweet and sour lemon cheesecake, milk chocolate macarons, salty caramel choux and chocolate fondant. Baking participants will also receive an apron, certificate of completion, a pastry equipment set and delicious recipes from the chef.
