With its charm and soulful new redesign, the fully renovated W New Orleans – French Quarter makes its new mark on Louisiana. The property has been transformed from top to bottom to enhance the guest experience. Each of its 97 guest rooms has undergone a makeover as well as its corridors and outdoor Courtyard. SWEAT, a state-of-the-art fitness center, has been added to the hotel as well as the new signature restaurant, SoBou.
Inside, the intelligently designed interiors have been imagined by Nemaworkshop, an interior design and architecture firm based in New York City. Guest rooms reflect the colorful New Orleans city and its artistic energy. Clean lines mixed with modern blacks and whites are paired with vibrant gold tones and rich primary colors inspired by music of the Big Easy.
Bold yellow walls, white lacquered furniture, and an oversized floor-to-ceiling painting decorate the Fabulous Rooms, meant to channel the mystic spirit of the city. Inspired by New Orleans’s voodoo queen Marie Laveau, the walls of the Mega Rooms feature a deep blue color and an oversized mural representing a woman reading tarot cards.
In keeping with the décor updates, the hotel also brought in new in-room technology like a new 40-inch Plasma TVs and the addition of a “jackpack,” which offers the ability to stream movies, photos, and presentations from portable devices directly onto the televisions.
One of the focal points within the hotel is its Courtyard that serves as a vital centerpiece for guests to enjoy a celebration. Vine-covered walls line this space and inside sits a beautiful tiered water fountain, perfect for relaxing in the warm Louisiana weather. The property also features the WET pool, complete with cabanas for privacy and a brand new, state-of-the-art SWEAT fitness facility.

The renovation also introduced SoBou, a “Spirited” Creole Experience to the hotel. As part of the $9 million refresh project, W New Orleans - French Quarter opened the new Louisiana street food-inspired restaurant and lounge from the Commander’s Family of Restaurants. Named by Esquire Magazine as one of the "Top 100 New Restaurants of 2012", Executive Chef Juan Carlos Gonzalez has created a regionally sourced menu with small plates to pair with any drink from classic cocktails to local craft brews.
