Twice a year, more than 300 restaurants around town change up their menus to prix fixe, three-course meals at more affordable prices. It’s a great opportunity for hungry New Yorkers to try out new spots celebration of dining. It debuted in 1992 as the country's first-ever restaurant week, and was originally developed as a one-time culinary event. Today it is one of the city's most anticipated events.
