As a salute to the helping hand Winston Churchill gave to the advancement of science during his period in power, and marking the 50th anniversary of his death (in January 2016), Churchill’s Scientists explores his fascination with the subject. Visitors will get the chance to discover how science was used during the war and will even get a glimpse at Britain’s top-secret research that lead to the first atomic bomb. The exhibition features a number of personal objects belonging to Churchill, as well as significant historical objects, orginal film footage, letters and archive images from the period.
