Cocktail Hat & Fascinator Making Class — The experienced Jill Courtemanche who has made hats for many celebrities including Yoko Ono, Donatella Versace and Princess Mary of Denmark will be sharing the tricks of the trade in a fun, hands-on workshop. Attendees will get to make their own fabulous fascinator or charming cocktail hat and learn basic millinery techniques to craft a hat using felt, feathers, netting, ribbon and more. The class will be held Sep. 20, 2014. The cost is $85 and reservations are required.

Introduction to Felt Hat Blocking, a 3-Day Workshop — The Jill Courtemanche Millinery will be offering a three-day Felt Blocking Workshop where students will learn the technique of hat blocking. Students will get hands-on experience in manipulating the felt on wooden hat blocks, wiring the brim, finishing hats to the appropriate size, and basic trimming. This class is designed for more advanced sewers, and students who have taken the intro class. The workshop will be held Sep. 26 - 28, 2014, all materials are included in the $495 registration.

Gatsby Themed Fascinator Class — Channel your inner Daisy Buchanen at the Gatsby-themed cocktail hat making class! It's your chance to create the perfect topper for the the Del Mar Racetrack's fall Opening Day "Old Hollywood" theme or design a unique, signature accessory for this year's holiday party. Reservations are required for the Oct. 25, 2014 class, which costs $85.
