Del Mar's richest and most prestigious race, the $1,000,000 TVG Pacific Classic (Gr. I), features some of the country's top horses competing at the classic distance of 1 1/4 miles. The high-stakes race, one of Del Mar's signature events, is the highlight of a three stakes race card (along with the Pat O'Brien Stakes and Del Mar Mile) and brings top-notch Thoroughreds together with racegoers and enthusiasts for a spectacle and energy similar to Opening Day. The weekend leading up to the race will also feature entertainment, festivals, and giveaways.
