Martini Madness is returning to the Sonoma Valley once again. The annual event is hosted by a rotating roster of notable Sonoma Valley culinary institutions where restauranteurs and bartenders compete to create the best new martini.
Sonoma Valley is home to a spirited group of mixologists, bartenders, and even a chef or two who revel in creating a great mixed cocktail. No wine country event demonstrates this more than the annual Olive Season competition known as Martini Madness. Martini Madness challenges bartenders from Sonoma Valley restaurants, pubs and bars to create the best new martini. The only requirement? Whether it is white chocolate covered, a flambe, skewered, stuffed with cheese or in oil form, there be some sort of olive or olive product in the martini. Other than that, the sky is the limit.
Participating martini masters unveil their creations at a lively dinner party hosted by Ramekins Culinary School. Event goers sample each martini creation and vote for their favorite while enjoying music and food.
