It’s never a bad time when Bowie is involved (Am I right?). Celebrating the famed musician’s traveling exhibit “David Bowie Is,” the Thompson Chicago is offering an exclusive package for its guests. The 247-room hotel announced its “Day and Night with David Bowie” VIP experience this week in partnership with Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
Boasting the only US stop, the exhibit will be showcased at the museum from September 23, 2014 to January 4, 2015. More than 300 objects will be on display during the exhibit including handwritten lyrics, set designs, original costumes, album artwork, photography and rare performance material from the past five decades.
Locals as well as visitors staying at the Thompson will have a chance to book the overnight package which includes a superior king or double room, two VIP tickets to the gallery, continental breakfast for two at Nico Osteria and a private meet and greet with a museum concierge.
Not only that, package holders will receive a custom Ziggy Stardust red-and-blue-layered cocktail kit for two based off of Bowie’s classic song Ziggy Stardust, considered one of “The Greatest Songs of All Time” by Billboard.
The package starts at $279 per night and the first 50 guests to book will receive a special limited edition “David Bowie Is Inside” full-color catalog ($65 value).
