Located right in the heart of lively Cabo San Lucas is the serene boutique Bahia Hotel. Near one of the most swimmable beaches in the area, the hotel offers a coffee and juice bar, lively Bar Esquina and waterfront SUR Beach House.
There are 81 air conditioned rooms and villas, many with swimming pool views. Poolside Villa 104 includes a king size bed, private patio with an oversize daybed and jacuzzi. The villa offers easy access to the hotel's pool and bar area.
Since the hotel isn't right on the beach, Villa and hotel guests have a preferred area at the hotel's nearby SUR Beach House. Other amenities include a welcome gift upon arrival, bathroom with dual shower head, personal concierge service, turn down service, fully stocked mini-bar and Nespresso Coffee maker.
The Bahia Hotel offers a one-of-a-kind Designer Room by Dodd Mitchell offering Mexican rustic and modern features with luxury, yet relaxed decor.
Once you walk into the lobby of the Bahia Hotel, you will notice the Spanish/Moroccan inspired Bar Ezquina. This is the soul of the Bahia Hotel. After receiving your room key, stop by for a welcome margarita to soothe your senses after your flight. The spirit of this venue changes throughout the day.
Wake up to enjoy a Baja California-style juice and cappuccino with a Mexican pastry before starting your day paddleboarding to Los Arcos, meeting dolphins or sailing on a French made sailboat along the coastline through Cabo Advnetures. During lunch the vibe changes as woodfire pizzas are being baked and guests are enjoying ceviche and cerveza.
As soon as the sun sets, Bar Esquina offers live music in a festive atmosphere as locals, resort guests and visitors from other resorts socialize, drink inventive cocktails and enjoy locally-sourced Mexican with the Mediterranean inspired dishes from chef Andres Bracamontes.
As one of the first hotels along the Medano Beach, developer Juan Esquivel saw an opportunity to build a property for visitors to experience a true Cabo San Lucas vacation. In 2007 the property was purchased by a group of investors from New York. Managing Director Felipe Rebelo, along with on-site partner Lee Vosburgh revamped the hotel and reopened it in 2010, adding Bar Esquina. In 2016, when the Bahia team seized another opportunity, they took over and revamped one of Los Cabos’ original palapa-style beach clubs. The beachfront property allows Bahia guests a swimmable shoreline.
Other swimmable opportunities are the moderate-sized palm-lined pool. There are plenty of relaxing lounge chairs on the pool deck and close to a swim-up bar.
The Bahia Hotel team took over a Cabo palapa-style beach club and created SUR, a luxury waterfront restaurant/bar. Bahia guests have direct access on the swimmable shoreline of Medano Beach, live music and DJs, and a chic open-air dining with 180 degree views. Executive Chef Andres' Bracamontes creates locally inspired fare with influences from Mexico, Peru and Asia. Order sushi with a creative cocktails and chilled bottles of rose'.
The beach club is a golf cart ride away, for Bahia guests to take a kayak or SUP guided tours to Los Arcos and the Sea of Cortez. Towels and outdoor showers are offered afterwards.
For those who choose to sit under an umbrella on the beach in a sand chair or reclining lounge, a beach butler will bring buckets of ice-cold water and Pacificos, along with plates of freshly shucked oysters, and items ordered off the internationally-inspired menu prepared by Executive chef Andres.
Warm up and get rid of your holiday blues in Cabo San Lucas at Bahia Hotel and SUR in 2020.
