In April 2022, Encore Boston Harbor was awarded the Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) Five-Star distinction for its hotel and spa, the largest gaming resort outside of Las Vegas to earn this rating. Following a three-year restoration project of a heavily contaminated site along the water, the resort opened to full capacity in June 2019.
