Market, a high-end Boston restaurant under the famed label of Jean-Georges Vongerichten, has announced that Sean Prinz, will take over as the new General Manager.
Prinz began his career at Starwood Hotels & Resorts at The Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa, Hollywood Florida as Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, supporting the team at Hollywood Prime Steakhouse and Rivals Sports Grille. He later became Assistant General Manager in the opening team of AiziA Restaurant.
The culinary veteran then moved to Washington, DC, where he was named Restaurant Manager at Adour by world-renown chef, Alain Ducasse, in The St. Regis Hotel. Prinz then helped to transform Ardour into a restaurant that met the needs of DC's dining clientele by making it a three-meal dining facility.
From Ardour, Prinz went to work for another internationally acclaimed chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who appointed him Assistant General Manager at J&G Steakhouse located in the newly opened W Washington DC in 2009. There, Prinz oversaw the direction of the $1.5-million beverage program, earning a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence during his tenure.
Now, as Level II Certified in the Court of Master Sommeliers Program, Prinz brings to Market in Boston all of his prior knowledge and expertise, making him a valuable asset to Boston dining.
