Luxury Resorts & Casinos: The Chairman Tower is the latest addition to the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. The city's freshest slice of decadence is a 40-story structure that overlooks the Atlantic shoreline with views of the ocean or the bay from each of the 782 guestrooms. Located directly across from the first Taj Mahal tower, the $255 million tower is targeting high-end players to come and join the party. The Chairman officially opened in September, 2008 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The presence of gambling activity in both New York and Pennsylvania has spurred Atlantic City casinos and resorts to substantially step up efforts to retain their appeal to tourists by making the oceanfront community an all-encompassing, year-round luxury destination that offers more than gambling to entertain vacationing visitors.
Harrah's Atlantic City added a "domed island" with a huge swimming pool, a million-dollar garden, and an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. Meanwhile, the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa continues to provide a Las Vegas-like experience for guests with top-notch performers, five-star amenities, and special incentive packages. Most major AC resorts and casinos have made significant upgrades to remain appealing to visitors.
The Chairman Tower suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of therapeutic proportions. The décor is lavish with dashes of opulence throughout. It is an enclave away from the games where high-stakes players can relax and replenish before heading out for another rousing round at the Baccarat Pit in the high-limit gaming salon.
The new Taj tower has an electric mix of shopping, entertaining and dining options with a nighttime-entertainment lounge, an Italian restaurant, and a nightclub called the Casbah. Spice Row is an eclectic luxury mall of sorts with jewelers, florists, and leather crafts among its 15 spicy shops. Live performances by headlining performers and entertainment acts also will be appearing at the Taj's Mark Estes Arena.
