The luxury social account known as LuxuryDiscoverer is run by Suzi, a travel influencer based out of Dubai. Her content showcases stunning videos that she produces to inspire her followers and take them along on her travels throughout the globe. Justluxe has had the pleasure of speaking with Suzi to learn about her brand as a travel influencer and storyteller.
JL: What inspired you to start your social media platforms on Instagram and Tiktok? This time one year ago, I didn’t even think of starting this page and look what a difference 12 months make. When I launched luxurydiscoverer back in June, I never thought I’d find so many fans and travel & luxury enthusiasts in such a short time.
2022 has been in a way my best year so far, in another way, it’s been the most difficult. But guess what! Throw a challenge at me and I’ll fight like a lion.
A lot has changed this past year for me and I’m thankful for the lessons and the obstacles. There’s no growth without stepping out of your comfort zone, same as there’s no gain without the pain.
JL: Where do you reside now? I call several places home but since most of my shoes and handbags are in Dubai, I’d say I live in Dubai.
JL: What do you love about your city? Oh everything! The fact that there’s always something to do, the multicultural environment, the hustle culture, the safety, and the people who have been so welcoming.
JL: What are a few memorable experiences you’ve recently had? Flying on one of the Comlux planes is always an experience to remember. Others include riding a glass slide 220 meters above the ground, cruising the Adriatic Sea on James Bond’s boat, and one for the books was certainly visiting Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque that left me completely mesmerized.
JL: What are your main interest that aligns with the content you create? My background is in private aviation industry so that is my main passion along with healthy lifestyle and overall fitness.
JL: How many followers do you currently have? And when did you start posting content? I started Luxurydiscoverer in June 2022. Currently, I have 300.000+ followers on Instagram and another 300,000+ on TikTok.
JL: Your creative content is beautifully done, can you share with our audience how you achieve such quality? Are you doing this on your own? Given my perfectionist personality, I wouldn’t post just to post. I always strive to provide value to my audience. I take time to plan what will be shot and how. Also, I work with a professional to produce the highest-quality content.
JL: Lastly our audience loves the finer things in life and are always looking for the best luxury experiences. What are a few of the best restaurants you've enjoyed? I’m a very picky eater and on top I’m careful about what I eat in terms of food quality. I always like to return to Avra restaurants in Beverly Hills, New York and they recently opened in Miami so I’m looking forward to visiting that location too. Sushi Samba in Dubai is another one of my favorites. Overall, I love food quality in Switzerland and market fruits in summer in Italy.
What hotels would you recommend? I enjoy staying at Bulgari Hotels, Villa d’Este on Lake Como is magical in summer and Equinox Hotel Hudson Yards in New York is the perfect choice for health and fitness enthusiasts.
