Porsche Facebook fan page reached a milestone this month when its millionth fan clicked the "Like" button this past November 15. The German automaker's social media outlet is among the most popular social networking websites worldwide. The FB fan page has grown nearly another 10 percent in less than two weeks, as it has nearly 1.1 million fans entering the week of November 29.
Porsche has elaborate plans to pay tribute to its million Facebook fans. One-million names of Facebook fans are going to be inscribed into a Porsche, which will be on display at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. Fans who want to have their name on the car must sign up on Facebook. The sign-up period ends December 31.
"Although we are witness to passionate customers and fans every day, it is neat to set another Porsche milestone by growing to over 1 million strong on Facebook," said Josh Cherfoli, online relationship and marketing manager at Porsche Cars North America. "It's an excellent opportunity to help us connect with our fan base, and we thank them all for sharing our passion."

It is a portal where Porsche owners can post pics, videos, and stories about their personal experiences and their cars, The site contains more than 3,500 posts to date.
The Facebook Porsche will debut at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, in February 2011.
