Stonehaven Manor is our pick of the month for a luxurious golfing residence in the southeast region of the U.S. This two-story English manor-styled house is so lavish that it is deserving of its own name.
The seven-bedroom mansion is located at the Country Club of the South in Johns Creek, Georgia. It is part of the 900-acre private golfing community, located just 10 miles north of Atlanta, Georgia that contains more than 700 deluxe single-family residences. Stonehaven Manor is on the market at $5.6 million. The price was just lowered $1.6 million, as it was previously priced at $7.2 million.

It is tucked away on a private 1.5-acre enclave near the 17th green on the Jack Nicklaus-designed, 18-hole championship course on the grounds. There is a gated entrance with a private driveway that leads to a circular courtyard with a fountain, a covered driveway, a four-car garage, and a full guesthouse atop the garage. The fully landscaped outdoor entertaining area includes a pool, a gas grill, a patio, and a cabana with a full bar, a bathroom, and a changing room.
The Country Club of the South has a full scope of amenities as well as a huge clubhouse/community center for resident members. The sprawling mixed-use complex is the hub of the development.
A recent post on luxury properties by Yahoo Sports on a $7.2-million mansion owned by retired Major League Baseball pitcher John Smoltz put Georgia on our mind and on the radar for opulent golfing properties. Both properties are listings of Alex McGraw with Harry Norman Realtors. For more information, visit HarryNorman.com.
