During the Monaco Yacht Show 2022, Tankoa Yacht's introduced its 4th 50-meter hull, M/Y Kinda, an all-aluminium series developed by Francesco Paszkowski. Sharing a similar DNA to its predecessors, with the same low-rise and graceful profile; however, what sets her apart is the 5,000-litre capacity swimming pool on the foredeck; M/Y Kinda is the second yacht to possess a hybrid propulsion system.
'Kinda is the result of a concerted effort between the shipyard, the owner and our studio – a yacht truly built step by step all together,' says Francesco Paszkowski. 'The exteriors have also been customized while maintaining the main design characteristics of the 50-metre series such as the vertical bow, which makes it possible to increase the internal volume to 496GT, the generous swim platform in the stern, and large windows that provide continuity between interior and exterior.'
A standout feature that we absolutely love is the magnificent main staircase with wooden steps that are supported by a central pillar of polished stainless steel and a banister. On the lower deck, we find the beach club, along with the side-loading tender garage located in the stern, and the crew accommodation and services located forward with the pro-spec gallery and crew mess.
For lounging, the open-air areas have a very large sofa arrangement from Minotti on the main deck aft the forward lounge area and swimming pool, dining for a full complement of guests on the upper deck aft, while the sundeck is equipped with a sun pad forward, an al fresco galley, pop-up tables and sun loungers for the perfect for spending the day lounging and relaxing.
Just like its spectacular exteriors, the interiors of the M/Y Kinda have a mix of modern and natural elements, truly encapsulating the owner's taste and style. The coherent combination of a variety of finishes, from using brushed oak for the soles and the ceilings lacquered in light tones, the harmonious color play of constructing fabrics accentuated with a few furnishing accessories takes the interiors to a new level.
The mega yacht houses six spacious guest cabins on the lower deck, including a full-beam VIP suite and a master stateroom on the main deck forward. The guest cabins have dark brown leather headboards, while the owner's apartment and VIP suite have a soft nabuk for their headboards. The walls have leather panels in various shades of grey with highlighted joints. The mirrors have smoked and Havana shades which perfectly blend with the rest of the interiors.
M/Y Kinda is powered by Bintador's hybrid propulsion, which is developed in collaboration with MAN and Siemens. The propulsion provides three cruising modes: diesel-mechanical, diesel-electric and full-electric. The yacht is virtually silent in the zero-emission or battery mode and diesel-electric mode. The yacht can also be anchored with no noise or emissions from the generators.
The engine is designed to reduce fuel consumption and extend the servicing time of the machinery, especially the generators, when in the most appropriate mode of sailing. The eco-friendly nature of hybrid propulsion allows the owners to access protected areas that other yachts cannot. 'M/Y Kinda had a great success during MY S 22,' says Giuseppe Mazza Tankoa's Sales Manager. 'Her great spaces, the fantastic interior design, the stunning pool in the bow plus hybrid propulsion makes her the perfect yacht where owner can collect unforgettable moments while enjoying cruising with family and friends, like He really did! Owner's satisfaction is on top of our goals and KINDA has exceeded our expectations.
Paszkowski's stunning exterior design, coupled with Tankoa's high build quality and the option of installing hybrid propulsion, creates an extraordinary trifecta which also became a key factor in the owner's decision, and we do not doubt it too!
