Rossinavi is one of the most reputed yacht builders in the industry. After a tumultuous last year, the Italian shipyard has introduced its flagship superyacht – the 230-foot (70 metres) Polaris. The superyacht has finally hit the high seas after four years into construction.

Previously known as Project King Shark, Polaris is well equipped for the warm currents of the Caribbean to the freezing temperatures of the extreme polar regions. The ice-class vessel was commissioned by a private client and superseded expectations in every aspect.

“Polaris is a 70m vessel where our construction skills and technical know-how are perfectly combined. The complexity of this project required a very specific phased approach, thanks to the skills we have acquired.” Federico Rossi, Chief Operating Officer of Rossinavi said in a statement. “Polaris is the masterpiece where lines and elegance boasts the harmony typical of a modern yacht,” he added further.

Polaris features interior and exterior design by the talented Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design. Sporting clean, elegant lines with black windows running down her length becomes a strong, magnificent visual statement. The interior of the 1,542GT is inspired by the client’s refined taste and preferences. The Textiles, furniture and materials used for the superyacht are all sourced from high-end international brands and form a picturesque painting that Rossinavi describes as “luxurious and distinctive, yet warm and welcoming.”Polaris can host up to 12 guests across six spacious cabins, along with a crew of 17 crew in 10 crew cabins. The master suite is offered with its own dedicated deck and private terrace with an ultra-zen waterfall to boot.

Considering long cruises on this superyacht, Polaris has plenty of entertainment. The waterfall is the highlight of the yacht; the main deck also has a soundproof cinema. The 20-foot infinity pool, a wellness center that includes a fully equipped gym, sauna, hammam, massage room and yoga area are also housed on the main deck. Talking about the other water toys, Polaris offers space for six jet skis and two tenders. It is also able to accommodate a full custom limo tender, entirely built-in Rossinavi’s shipyard.

“The neat and elegant shapes of the yacht are underlined by long, continuous black window surfaces with curved details that soften up and characterize the overall cleanness of the superstructure. Our aim here was to open up the interiors towards the exterior, ensuring an ongoing view of the sea through the decks. This was achieved not by creating huge invasive openings but by instead designing refined, long and slender windows with which we were able to achieve the same goal,” says Enrico Gobbi of Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design.

She is also equipped with a dynamic anchoring system allowing anchoring whenever needed irrespective of the temperatures and climate.
