Looking for some family fun out of town for this July 4th holiday weekend? Here are 6 iconic spots that are planning special activities, restaurant activations, poolside activities and a firework show.

Caesars Entertainment offers 9 properties along the Las Vegas Strip that are planning epic Fourth of July celebrations, starting with Caesars Palace. It's the only resort to offer a firework show on Monday, July 4.

The sky will be filled with color starting at 8:30 p.m., and some of the best spots to see the show will be at the iconic front fountains outside Caesars Palace along Las Vegas Blvd.

The Roman Plaza and Spanish Steps outside Caesars Palace, near ABSINTHE and Gordon Ramsay's HELL'S KITCHEN offers an excellent viewing spot, as does dining at GIADA at The Cromwell. Make a reservation at one of the window seats or outside to enjoy the firework show across the street.

Slip on your bathing suit and head over to the adults-only pool party at THE SCENE Pool Deck at Planet Hollywood to enjoy full-service cabanas and day beds. While listening to a DJ blasting top hits, grab a floatie to float on the water to watch the festivities.

For one of the most spectacular locations in Las Vegas to see fireworks, take a ride on the largest observation wheel in North America, the High Roller Observation Wheel. It soars 500 feet above the Strip providing adult fun starting with Happy Half Hour complete with an open bar and bartender for one full 30-minute rotation of the wheel. 

Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Harbor

The Sheraton San Diego Hotel offers is an ideal summer getaway on the water. This year their special July 4th package includes a San Diego Big Boom fireworks viewing package from July 2 through July 5, 2022. Guests receive a luxurious Bay Tower room with a balcony, and two tickets to the resort's Eventide Garden barbecue buffet dinner on the Bay View Lawn. Barbecue fare includes pork spareribs, hamburgers, herb-roasted chicken, holiday salads, sides and desserts. The starting rate for this package is $499 per night, plus tax. These rooms have views of the fireworks show.

The resort is also offering a July 4th Celebration Package on July 2 through July 5, 2022, that includes a scenic resort view guest room, and two tickets to the hotel’s bountiful Eventide Garden buffet dinner featuring all-time favorite Fourth of July fare. The starting rate is $479 per night plus tax, because these rooms do not have firework views, but there are spots around the property to view the show.

Guests staying on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays can shuttle from the resort to nearby Broadway Pier on the new water taxi. It stops at some of San Diego's iconic attractions, shopping, dining and entertainment, including the nearby USS Midway Museum and Seaport Village from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m..

The hotel is also offering guests a sightseeing experience on board new electric cart vehicles to explore the scenic maritime Harbor Island. Other modes of travel around the island's two-mile stretch is on the hotel's new rental jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards or power boats to cruise on the bay. There are bicycles and new electric bikes for guests to rent and take out for a spin on designated bike paths.

Portofino Hotel

Situated on the exclusive Redondo Beach peninsula, The Portofino Hotel & Marina is an ideal spot to see fireworks. Start your day kayaking or paddle boarding in the calm harbor water over to the floating bait dock to see some local harbor seals. Later enjoy fresh seafood and creative cocktails at BALEEN Kitchen, before watching the fireworks illuminate the sky from your guest room patio or balcony. 

The resort pool is also a good view spot for the show, as it has a 280-degree view of the harbor. 

The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort

The City of Carlsbad is celebrating Independence Day weekend with fireworks at both The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort and LEGOLAND. The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is offering an exclusive firework display, along with live entertainment by Chad Robin, and dining under the palms. Guests can partake in an American-style barbecue at the resort with a drink upon arrival, and specialty experiential cocktails are available at pop-up bars sponsored by Doon Julio and Ketel One. Enter the raffle for a chance to win a dinner for two at the resort's Pronto Lago. Tickets are $145 for adults and $60 for children.

LEGOLAND

LEGOLAND amusement park in Carlsbad is having a Red, White, & BOOM! firework display, set to a patriotic musical tribute with great viewing in designated locations through the park. The festive activities include meet-and-greets are included in the cost of admission. 

Ojai Valley Inn and Spa

Ojai Valley Inn has started a special summer program throughout the property's 220 acres. Family-friendly activities are available at Pixie Pool, while poolside cocktails are being poured for parents to toast the holiday. Little ones can join Camp Oak for a special holiday program, while parents can play a round of golf, game of tennis, enjoy a spa treatment take the resort's complimentary bicycles out for a ride into town to explore Bart's Books, the world's largest outdoor bookstore.   

The resort is hosting a Fourth of July Festival on the green across from Jimmy's Pub starting at 5:30 p.m. Festivities include carnival games, face painting, caricature drawings and balloon twisting.

The culinary team will present an incredible barbeque feast featuring hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, BBQ chicken, pulled pork, salad and other fun fares.

The cost is $65 for adults and $20 for kids under 12 and includes all the food, beer, wine, soda, water, and activities. Wristbands will be provided at check-in. A limited number of tickets are now available for the public to attend.
