Germany luxury brand Montblanc has recently announced the launch of the 1926 Heritage Collection.
Understanding the needs of the sophisticated traveler, the leather collection is a testament of exquisite craftsmanship. The vegetable-tanned leather creates a unique, yet refined vintage look, perfect for world traveler looking for style, durability, versatility and individuality.
The unique process of vegetable tanning gives each piece its own distinct character. Enhancing the look, touch and smell of the leather, the vegetable tannins are extracted from barks and plant tissue to preserve the natural appearance of the leather. Known as one of the oldest tanning processes in the famous Tuscan leather tradition, some pieces feature vintage-inspired details such as an antique gold-colored finishing on metal fittings, as well as the understated Montblanc logo that appears on each bag.
With the passing of time, the leather color also changes, leaving an enhanced vintage look and feel. The interior features a contrasting bright red print, inspired by the regal Maasai tribe.
The 1926 Heritage collection name references the year Montblanc began its journey with leather. Consisting of 20 bags, wallets, and leather accessories, the Montblanc 1926 Heritage Collection will be available on montblanc.com and at Montblanc boutiques in September 2017.
