Sustainability Meets Luxury - Eco-Friendly IGBC Green House
N A Architects wanted to change the concept of sustainability being simple and rustic. To show the world that sustainable homes can be luxurious. An organic palette, semi-precious and natural stone accents, sprawling water features and design embedded concrete ceilings are highlight features of this luxury and sustainable residence. One of the most exciting interventions of the NR house has been the customization that the company was able to achieve with the masons and carpenters. Exposed concrete ceilings in all rooms with different designs embedded into the concrete slab and the play between timber, concrete, and natural stone is also reiterated through the house in other ways. The interior design project was conceived as a gallery typed space, which involved not only creating clear open areas but also inviting the light in, particularly from above. NR House came to be the perfect marriage for Boca do Lobo statement-furniture.
