Delivering a surround sound-like experience from a surprisingly compact design, Grain Audio’s Packable Wireless System (PWS) is definitely one of the better Bluetooth speakers we’ve tried. Not only does it sound great, it doesn’t look like it’s trying too hard to be cool. Wrapped in FSC certified walnut wood which promises to “naturally augment acoustics,” the gadget gives crisp tunes that sound freshly-recorded. The gadget features “2X2-[inch] bespoke loudspeakers, a proprietary racetrack passive radiator and a patented bass isolation system to limit unit movement on all surfaces,” as well as the Grammy award-winning Waves MaxxAudio advanced audio enhancement technologies. If you don’t know what all of that means, it’s basically telling you that the PWS is more than worth its surprisingly modest price tag. If this is what they can do with a portable speaker, we can’t wait to see what they can do with a sound bar—this is us asking you to make a sound bar, Grain Audio.
