Forbes Travel Guide recently announced its 57th list of Star Award Winners, and it's everything we have come to expect from Forbes. The 2015 list has many familiar names across the three categories of luxury hotels, restaurants and spas, but it’s the new additions that are the most exciting. Using over 500 criteria points for giving establishments their five-star ranking, Forbes selected 10 new restaurants to receive their top honor.

Element 47 at The Little Nell in Colorado and The Dining Room at Wheatleigh in Massachusetts each became the second restaurants to bring a five-star rating to their states. Waku Ghin at Marina Bay Sands became Singapore’s third five-star restaurant, while Rhode Island got its first five-star rating for Seasons at Ocean House. Alain Ducasse’s Spoon and The Krug Room at Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong afforded Hong Kong two more additions to its list (making seven in total).

Macau, China did the best by far, with four restaurants all earning new five-star ratings: Belon at Banyan Tree, Il Teatro at Wynn Macau, Vida Rica Restaurant and Bar at Mandarin Oriental Macau, and Tenmasa at Altira Macau.
