Etihad Airways announced a new collaboration with Chapman Freeborn, which will bring the jet charter specialist’s clientele to Etihad’s 125-square-foot The Residence and First Apartment cabins found on the Airbus A380 fleet. Chapman Freeborn will basically be promoting the airline to their customers, showing them that everything they expect from a private jet can be found with Etihad’s luxury long-haul options.
“Chapman Freeborn’s customers can now enjoy a private jet experience on the largest passenger aircraft in the world, and the infrastructure of a world-leading airline, operating to primary gateway airports. We chose Chapman Freeborn for their great experience and professionalism and we know that this partnership will showcase our beautiful cabins to the most discerning travelers,” says Shane O’Hare, Etihad Airways’ Senior Vice President Marketing.
The Residence is a private three-room cabin (living room, double bedroom and a bathroom) that has its own Savoy-trained butler and chef. If The Residence is already booked, you can try for one of the nine First Apartments, each with its own living space and reclining lounge chair and ottoman that become a bed—this one also gets special catering.
Though it seems like Etihad Airways is getting more from the partnership, Chapman Freeborn specializes in charters, which aren’t usually able to take long-haul trips. Teaming up with Etihad puts them on the forefront of the aviation industry, which is certainly not a bad thing. Plus, guests who book a flight in “The Residence and First Apartments will also be able to charter private jets through Chapman Freeborn for travel onwards from Etihad Airways’ A380 gateways.”
