All that glitters is not gold...sometimes it's green. Called the "king of gems," the emerald was once the chosen talisman of aristocracy looking to convey their power with a little bling. Van Cleef & Arpels takes pride in this heritage with an ode to the gemstone in their new Emeraude en Majesté collection. The collection seeks to pay tribute to some of the most iconic pieces of jewelry throughout histroy, including the famed Indian necklace worn by Her Highness Salimah Aga Kahn in 1940. Over 1,400 carats of emeralds have been curated for this collection, a feat accomplished through nearly a centrury of work. The collection is not availble for purchase yet, but will be coming to the Van Cleef & Arpels e-boutique soon.
