As lovers of quality timepieces, we can’t help but want to collect all the luxury watches that come across our desks, but the latest piece from Bovet 1822 is undoubtedly one of our favorites—and just our luck, it might be one of the hardest to obtain. The Amadeo Fleurier Lady Bovet for Only Watch 2015 was designed exclusively for Only Watch, a charity that supports research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The unique timepiece, of which there is only one, will be auctioned off to benefit the charity starting September 23.
The Amadeo Fleurier Lady Bovet for Only Watch 2015 was inspired by a previously unreleased model that will finally make its debut in the brand’s 2016 collections. Of course it will not be exactly the same as the special-edition Only Watch, which is intended to be a true collector’s piece. This rare watch was created with the 39mm Amadeo casing so it can be easily changed from a wristwatch to a pocket watch to a pendant necklace—it’s the ultimate accessory.
Encased in 18-karat white gold, the piece has two reversible watch faces, one with a pink-toned mother-of-pearl dial, the other features a painting of doves. The latter is a reproduction of the grand feu enamel case back of a Bovet pocket watch that was designed at the turn of the 19th century. Set with 236 diamonds (3.92 carats) on the bezel and five briolette diamonds (one carat) on the crown and strap bolt, this watch is a gorgeous complement to any lady’s timepiece collection. That is, if you can get your hands on it.
The Amadeo Fleurier Lady Bovet for Only Watch 2015 will be officially presented at the Monaco Yacht show in September followed by a world tour concluding at Phillips auction house in Geneva on November 7.
