Fashion and Beauty Correspondent, I’ve constantly got my finger on the pulse on what’s hot, new and up and coming in the beauty world. With spring in full swing, I’ve been on the lookout for fresh picks that add a spring to my step, a bounce to my hair and pack pretty punch during this gorgeous season. Here are a few of my recent discoveries that I can’t get enough of:
Juliette Has a Gun ‘Not a Perfume’
When it comes to fragrances, I’m finicky. I know what I like, and I usually don’t stray far from my well-edited tried-and-true favorites. Amazingly, though, there’s a new bottle on my vanity that’s starting to dominate the usual rotation. Cheekily named ‘Not a Fragrance,’ this French scent is composed of a singular element of Cetalox and is entirely allergen-free. It’s subtle, sexy and elegant—in the most nonchalant, demure way. I’ve received compliments more times than I can count thanks to this new favorite! (100mL $110)
Sulwhasoo Snowise Brightening BB Cream
With sunnier days comes an urgent need to protect your skin against environmental damage. With Sulwhasoo’s genius new Brightening BB Cream, my skin is protected and perfected in one simple swipe. I smooth this on before foundation to even out skin tone, knowing full well that it also converts UV rays into visible pink rays, creating a brighter, more radiant appearance. It can also be used as a light foundation. (30mL $60)
Yoshi’s Magic Water
I’ve officially found my new secret weapon for summer hair: Yoshi’s Magic Water. Spritz on freshly washed hair before blow drying as a pre-treatment, or use on dirty hair to refresh locks and remove odor, oil and product build-up. This amino ion water treatment hydrates and protects hair, neutralizes pH levels and adds brilliant shine. It really is magic! (3.3oz $14)
Soaptopia YOUcalyptus Oil Slather
Want to re-create a spa experience every time you step out of shower? I’ve found a way! Soaptopia’s oil slather is made of 100% natural oils including grapeseed, avocado, sunflower, arnica, jojoba, Kakui Nut, and of course, eucalyptus and tea tree—all fused together to create the most relaxing, refreshing and addictively delicious scent. I’ve since replaced body lotions with this heavenly product and haven’t looked back. It’s the perfect way to pamper yourself everyday. (8oz $19)
BLOWLUX Intense Masque by BE Beverly Hills
Revive worn-out winter tresses with BLOWLUX Intense Masque by eco-luxury line BE Beverly Hills. This hydrating formula is your answer to sleek, shiny, soft touchable hair for spring.
