Who wants to ride on a Louis Vuitton Carousel? The models showcasing the Spring 2012 Louis Vuitton Collection did just that at the Spring 2012 Runway Show in Paris.
Designer Marc Jacobs turned the wow factor to the maximum with the styling and presentation. The backdrop was clean, almost clinical. The looks were whimsical, pastel, feminine and very delicate. There were a few structured, tailored pieces but mostly elegant dresses with full skirts, eyelet detailing and feathers. The pieces looked like candy. They had a playful air but didn’t lose the class and status that is associated with the House of Louis Vuitton.
The mule was even updated. Glazing the runway was a new version on the mule shoe. They boasted a pointed toe and were done in metallics with statement hues such as honeysuckle, daisy and seafoam green. These mules bordered the colorblocking line. Many handbags were done in exotic skins and some were sheer but sported the LV signature while others looked like fine architecture. Classic pumps were also showcased with pointed toes in both white and navy.
