Here are the tips that took me a long time to gather and understand from many experiments that were both successful and failed. But I have gathered all my experience and am sharing it with you, so you can enjoy this beverage.
Let's dive in and catch up with the tips:
Tips for Brewing A Perfect Cup of Coffee
Always Use Coffee Beans
To enjoy aromatic coffee, always use quality roast coffee beans. Don't just buy roasted beans from the market and expect you will get that heavenly aroma and taste of the coffee.
When you roast coffee beans in your coffee machine, they produce volatile oils that spread around the room creating an ambiance that we all love, not only this it also produce the signature taste that will make you want more.
Immediately Grind Your Roasted Beans
It is highly recommended to grind beans immediately after you roast them, to get maximum flavor and essence. You can use any grinder but it's recommended to use burr grinder. As its grinder has equal particles, that give equal taste in every cup.
Optimum Water Temperature
To extract the best aroma and flavor out of your ground coffee, brew with water that's between 195° to 205° Fahrenheit.
As if you go below 195° F of water you won't be able to get all the flavor from your coffee. If you heat water above 205° F you will scorch the beans and will give them a bitter taste.
Once you are done with boiling water at optimum temperature, add it to your ground coffee and leave it for thirty minutes to get all the flavor and right aroma.
Use The Right Amount of Water
By rule the more water you will add to your coffee, the more diluted it will be, so finding the right ratio of coffee and water is the key to get that perfect cup.
But one very important thing you need to know is, the intensity of coffee is definitely your choice. You can experiment with the ratios to get that perfect taste you crave.
According to experience and practice we recommend 240 grams of water for every 15 grams of coffee, a ratio of 16:1.
Let the Gas Release
You must have observed that when you add hot water on the beans they bubble, it's carbon dioxide that is released from the beans. If you don't allow this gas release properly, it will make a blanked on the coffee and you will not be able to brew all the flavor and aroma.
The best practice is to add a little water to the ground and stir it so all the ground gets equally wet. Discard the excess water and wait for 30 seconds for all the CO2 to release.
Let The Coffee Cool To Perfect Taste
The coffee has the best aroma when it's piping hot, but its flavor is not at its best, you will get the right flavor when your coffee cools down to 155° F before you take the first sip.
We hope all these tips will be useful to you in making that one amazing cup of coffee!
