Thomas Herd Of T1 Advertising Launches Preemptive Pathways Non Profit

In a society where many face the risk of having everything they’ve worked hard for unravel due to mental health issues, addiction, financial instability, and changing societal conditions, the role of proactive and protective support structures for enterprising young individuals has never been more important.

Such support structures can be critical to provide the essential support, education, and guidance to prevent individuals from descending into severe crises which too many fall victim to at various points in their life, oftentimes for reasons they weren’t even aware of or are helped with before it was too late (https://thewolfgroup.com/blog/11-years-is-too-long-to-wait-for-mental-health-treatment/).

Such as the case of the founder of Preemptive Pathways, Thomas Herd. Herd, the CEO of boutique marketing agency T1 Advertising, has struggled for more than a decade to overcome both severe clinical OCD (initially without awareness of the disorder or appropriate support for it) as well as a number of career setbacks that were caused by changing conditions in the advertising markets that he was completely unprepared for.

In light of the adversity- and traumas- Herd had to endure in order to build a thriving enterprise that could satisfy his goals of significantly helping his clients and feeding both his family as well as those of his organization for over a decade, he wanted to create a platform that would make it easier, more enjoyable, and ultimately less precarious for other hopeful high achievers to do the same in their lives, and hence came the inception of Preemptive Pathways.

Drawing from his own reservoir of critical challenges he’s had to overcome- from mental health issues to changing policies in his industry and beyond- through Preemptive Pathways, Herd plans to roll out a wheelhouse of solutions- led by a collective of carefully vetted and selected subject matter specialists in the areas of mental health, addiction, financial instability and literacy, and modern sociology- that can give beneficiaries a contemporary playbook to keep them out of harms way and advancing on insulated pathways that will enhance their real life success and greatly reduce anything jeopardizing it.

Although still in its infancy, to date, the non profit has heretofore focused its efforts on providing educational resources to individuals facing said situations from industry experts. A pertinent example is the article recently published by Preemptive Pathways on how leading addiction and recovery centers- such as Recovery Beach- are addressing the precipitous new rise of mental health, and in particular, anxiety OCD related- disorders that are driving people to substance abuse. Currently Herd is working with the Ownership of Recovery Beach to rollout a go fund me campaign to help increase the amount of proven, highly effective medical treatment options that sufferers of mental health and addiction will have access to at their centers.

Beyond these campaigns already in action, as the non profit expands it plans to carry out the following initiatives- ranging from those that Herd has personal experiences with as well as those that transcend his experiences- in order to best serve beneficiaries. These planned initiatives include:

  1. Mental Health Interventions: including mental health campaigns in schools, offering early screenings and counseling to prevent issues like depression and substance abuse.
  2. Addiction and Substance Abuse: including youth education programs and early intervention strategies aiming to educate teenagers about the risks of substance abuse and provide counseling and- if necessary medical- alternatives.
  3. Financial Literacy and Debt Management: Workshops and counseling on budgeting and debt management help young professionals avoid financial instability.
  4. Career Support and Workplace Safety for Previously Marginalized Socioeconomic Groups- including women, minorities, and immigrants
  5. Legal Guidance and Help For Criminal Reform: Legal literacy workshops and mentorship programs aim to prevent minor criminal activities from escalating into serious legal issues for petty criminals earnestly seeking self reform and to become contributing members to society
  6. Youth Career Guidance and Professional Development: Business planning workshops and mentorship programs support aspiring entrepreneurs, helping them navigate operational challenges.
