Handbag goddess Rebecca Minkoff has mixed things up for Chandon sparkling wine with two bottle designs featuring her signature gold stud motif. The 750 mL bottle design is available in two colors: a chic white and a bold black, both featuring Minkoff’s sparkly gold pattern. “Studs are a signature of ours and seen on a lot of our ready-to-wear and accessories,” explains Minkoff. “Because they are so fashionable and on-trend, I knew they had to be the key design element, and I wanted to add studs to the bottles in a clever way.”
The pale amber liquid inside is a finely bubbled, well-balanced Brut. Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar admires its “nicely defined Methode Champeniose character…it hits all the marks that a basic Brut should.” Minkoff introduced her Chandon bottles with pourings at Rebecca Minkoff retail outlets, but says her favorite way to enjoy sparkling wine is to “sip it from a stemless flute, on the couch, with my husband.”
