Living Like A Princess at The Castle Hotel

This summer locals and visitors to California can experience what it's like to stay overnight in a castle. The newly opened Castle Hotel at LEGOLAND in California provides guests with an immersive Princess, Knight and Wizard experience.

The three-story hotel offers 250 rooms providing a castle fantasy the moment guests step into the lobby. An enormous LEGO wizard welcomes guests while spinning magic at check-in. His voice joins guests in the levitating elevator during a magical light show.

Similar to the LEGOLAND Hotel next to this new royal resort, the three-story hotel has three different theme floors. The bottom floor is for Royalty with theme-decorated flooring, walls, window treatments and bedding that tell a story. In the Royal Princess room, the Princess uses the help of the jester to sneak into the tournament and compete with the knights. This princess is no damsel in distress. She is brave, strong and eager to lead.

Inside a standard Royal Princess room, adults have a king-size bed with twinkle lights on the headboard. There is a television, mini refrigerator and coffee maker. The separate children’s sleeping area has a bunk bed and a trundle bed underneath. Also in the children’s area is a television, a LEGO play table with bricks for creative play time, and a treasure chest with clues to open and receive a LEGO treasure.

Themed suites are roughly one and a half times larger than the standard rooms. Each suite sleeps up to seven royal guests with an additional lounge area offering a sofa bed. The bathroom has two sinks plus a separate theme-decorated bath and shower.

Guests have two theme decorated dining venues. Each guest receives a complimentary made-to-order breakfast buffet in the full-service, sit-down restaurant Dragon’s Den Restaurant & Bar. The open kitchen allows guests to watch chefs prepare their locally sourced food. Hearty entrees include seafood, pasta and steak options. This area also offers a self-playing piano, game-topped dining tables and “audible” chairs. There are Improv shows, an interactive LEGO pit and large-scale LEGO creations. Adults can relax in the friendly bar to enjoy a glass of California wine, beer, cocktail or other refreshing beverages.

Outside at the Castle Pool Bar & Grille royalty can order smoothies, sandwiches and salads prepared to order.

The Castle Hotel is just steps from the entrance of LEGOLAND. When princes and princesses get tired after a day exploring LEGOLAND, they can relax, rest or play in their royal chamber.
